Q+A: NOAM | Indicate
NOAM and Indicate, it's a pleasure to welcome you to Mixmag Brazil! In recent years, the global electronic scene has witnessed the boom of Afro House. How do you see the explosion of this genre on a global scale from the artistic perspective of your home countries, Israel and China?
In China, Afro House is still very niche, with harder genres like EDM dominating the clubs. It often feels like pioneering new territory, which motivates me to keep pushing this sound forward.
Meanwhile, in Israel, Afro House is rapidly growing the emotional rhythms and melodies resonate deeply, creating a vibrant local scene. It’s exciting for both of us to be part of this global momentum, each contributing uniquely from our home countries.
You've just signed with Warner Music in Italy, a feat that many artists still dream of achieving. How did your relationship with the label come about?
We initially connected through the socials, We quickly realized we had great creative chemistry. After collaborating remotely, we both ended up signing tracks with Warner Music Italy, which strengthened our partnership even further

What can the public expect from this partnership between NOAM and Indicate? Do you plan to perform together?
We’ve already made several tracks together, and I hope we’ll get to perform them live one day, especially at my coffee party events, which I’m planning to bring to China with Indicate.
These events are all about soulful, daytime energy and showcasing our own sound in a fresh context. As a DJ, I can play anything but what really matters to me is staying true to my sound and sharing it live. That’s the goal.
NOAM, how did the idea for the Coffee Party come about? Among so many renowned artists around the world, who would you like to have playing at your event?
The idea for the Coffee Party came from my love for both music and mornings. I wanted to create a space where people could start their day with good energy not in a dark club at 2am, but in the sunlight, with coffee in hand and Afro House or other happy genere in the air. It’s about community, connection, and a vibe that’s uplifting and soulful.
I’d love to see HUGEL or David Guetta play at one of the events one day. That would be huge. But honestly, it’s just as exciting for me to showcase rising talents who share the same spirit and energy.

Indicate, you've played alongside giants like R3HAB, Alan Walker, among others. Which artists were your initial references when you started your career in electronic music?
I’ve always listened to many genres, but it was vocal-driven tracks that really shaped my sound. Even with 'Strangers On The Go', it was the vocal that pulled me in emotionally. Artists like Avaion, Nu Aspect, Lane 8, and Hugel have definitely inspired me with their melodic storytelling and energy.
NOAM, the release of 'Running Back' was a memorable success. What has changed in your musical perspective and expectations since last year's release for your upcoming productions with Warner and other labels?
‘Running Back’ was a big turning point for me. It showed me that emotional, melodic music can really connect with people even in a space that sometimes leans more toward high-energy or commercial sounds. Since that release, I’ve grown a lot in terms of trusting my instincts and refining my sound.
Now, working with Warner and other labels, I’m focused on making music that’s still true to me, but with a bigger vision, more storytelling, more depth, and more intention.
I’m thinking not just about club tracks, but about how each release can build a world around it. That’s the mindset I’m bringing into every new production.
Indicate, you released 'Strangers To Go' on At Last. Tell us a little about your creative process with the track.
‘Strangers To Go’ was actually my first time trying something in the Tropical Deep House direction. It’s not my usual style, but the vocal really grabbed me.
I couldn’t ignore it. As long as it’s not too far from my core sound, I’m open to exploring new directions. I’m very thankful the track now has over 670K streams and grateful to At Last for the support.
How did the creative process between you two come about? How did you meet?
We met on Instagram through a shared label. We liked each other’s work and quickly started collaborating. It all felt very natural, and we ended up finishing a few tracks together in a short time.
In addition to the tracks on Warner, what can the public expect from Noam and Indicate in the second half of 2025?
We already have several unreleased demos we’re excited about, and we’re definitely planning to create more.
The chemistry is real, and we feel there’s a lot more to explore. I’m also really thankful to NOAM, he’s more experienced as a producer and entrepreneur, and I appreciate that he saw something in my music and wanted to work together.
